Returns and Exchanges

Before you return Aura by Rutu product, please take a moment to understand how our products are made. All our products are handcrafted by traditional artisans in rural India, resulting in each product being unique and slightly different from each other.

Let’s not think of an irregular weave or print or a stitch as a defect. Handmade by definition means a glorious uncertainty when it comes to uniformity. Most of the processes are manual; hence the irregularities which may occur are characteristic of the process and not counted as a defect.

Please read item descriptions carefully and note sizes of products. Please also know all screens are calibrated differently and colors, while may be close, may not be 100% accurate.We have done our best to display as accurately as possible the colors of the products shown on this Web site.

At Aura by Rutu we stand behind the quality of our products and we will replace the product if you are not satisfied with your purchase. Please read below our return & exchange policies before you return any item.

Our shipments are carefully inspected before leaving our warehouse, but if you are not satisfied with your purchase please follow the instructions below:

  • Exchange/Return will be only accepted once, customers will be responsible for shipping charges for all returns/exchange transactions.
  • To be eligible for a return or exchange all items must be returned to us UNWORN, UNWASHED, UNPERFUMED in the same condition they were received, with TAGS STILL ATTACHED.
  • We only exchange a product for once and when informed within 2 working days from receiving the goods.If you would like to request an exchange, please write to us at info@aurabyrutu.com
  • Please make contact immediately via the website email to ensure an agreement is made, and exchange items can be held for you if required. If more than the 14 days have passed since the purchase, then unfortunately we are unable to offer you a refund or exchange. 
  • Items which are to be exchanged/ returned need to be sent back within 10 days of receiving the goods.
  • The customer is responsible for return postage costs and tracking.Unfortunately, we will not be held accountable for lost items that do not make their way back to us!
  • If we have sent you a wrong item (wrong style, color or size), shipping charges for the replacement will not be billed to the customer.
  • The value of the exchange order cannot be lesser than the original order. However, it can be more. In this case the difference amount has to be paid by the customer.

No exchange will be done in following cases:

  • In case of minor design and color variations. With hand made products there will always be some variation between products.

Refunds will be done in the following cases:

  • Your order Packages lost in transit.

No Refunds will be done in the following cases:

  • Incorrect or outdated delivery address.
  • Incorrect address format including any form of a PO Box address.
  • After 3 failed delivery attempts by the courier.
  • Package refused by recipient.
  • Products returned in a used or damaged condition.

Note: Exchange and Refunds will only be made after we have received the returned shipment.

SALE ITEMS

Only regular priced items may be returned, unfortunately sale items are final sale and cannot be returned.

We do our very best to be fair, but please note we are running a small homegrown business and website. Shipping items takes time and energy... so please read all measurements and descriptions before hitting the purchase button!
